Contact form messages

When you reach out via the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, and the message you submit. This is stored so our team can read and respond to your enquiry.

Why we collect your information.

Every piece of information we ask for has a clear and specific purpose. We do not collect data out of habit — we only ask for what is genuinely needed to provide our service.

Name and contact details

To identify your booking, send you a confirmation email, and follow up on WhatsApp to process your driver's permit and confirm arrival logistics.

Passport number

Required by Tanzanian regulations to process a local Zanzibar driver's permit on your behalf. This is a legal requirement to self-drive on the island.

Flight number

Allows us to track your arrival and ensure your vehicle is ready when you land, even if your flight is delayed.

Pickup location and dates

To prepare the correct vehicle, arrange delivery, and calculate your accurate rental total.

Contact form messages

So our team can read your enquiry and respond appropriately, either by email or WhatsApp.

How your data is stored.

All booking and contact data is stored securely in a private, cloud-hosted database. This database is not publicly accessible — it is only reachable by our internal booking management system, which requires authentication to access.

Our website is hosted on a professional cloud platform with industry-standard security practices. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.

We do not store any financial or payment information. All payments are made in person on arrival in Zanzibar — no card details, bank account numbers, or payment credentials pass through our website at any point.

Who we share your data with.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes. A small number of trusted service providers are involved in delivering our service — each handles data only to the extent strictly necessary for that purpose:

Communication

When you submit a booking, your name and email address are passed to our email delivery provider to send your booking confirmation. The provider processes this data solely to transmit the email — it is not used for any other purpose.

Website hosting

Infrastructure

Our website is served through a professional cloud hosting provider. As with any web host, web traffic passes through their infrastructure. No personal data is explicitly shared beyond normal request handling.

Data storage

Infrastructure

Your booking and message data is held in a secure, encrypted cloud database. The infrastructure provider has no access to or interest in the content of the data stored.

Cookies and tracking.

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or any form of behavioural tracking on this website. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar third-party tracking tool.

When you visit our site, no data about your browsing behaviour is collected, stored, or shared with any advertising platform.

How long we keep your data.

Booking records are retained as long as they are operationally relevant — typically for the duration of the rental period plus a reasonable window afterward for any follow-up that may be needed.

Contact form messages are kept until they have been actioned and are no longer needed. We do not archive old enquiries indefinitely.

If you would like your data removed sooner, please contact us directly (see below) and we will delete your records upon request.
